Published on October 13, 2025, by the official Street Fighter channel, this lyric video for Piledriver — composed and performed by Cavalera Conspiracy — marks the release of Zangief’s Outfit 4, arriving in Street Fighter 6 on October 15.

The track is an original production created especially for the game, and it turned out really cool, blending the solid work led by Max and Iggor Cavalera with the mechanized aesthetic of the new Mech Zangie-F. Its steel shell and overwhelming strength perfectly match the weight and energy of the music. In addition, it’s reported that a special avatar gear featuring the band’s logo will be available for free to players.

With all due caveats one might still make about the Cavaleras, what matters to us is that they remain fully capable of creating songs that truly deserve this label — something that can’t be said of Sepultura for decades now, nor of the current musicians from Belo Horizonte, who only pop up to annoy us with college sertanejo, pop rock, and other unbearable nonsense.

Another highlight of the track is the homage they paid to Zangief’s original theme from Street Fighter II. I was genuinely moved — reminded me of my true home (arcades and such). Very good indeed. Another point worth mentioning is that it’s refreshing to see proper metal tied to games again, instead of that dull industrial stuff that only serves for some closet clubber to feel like part of the scene — or, worse still, some utterly despicable garbage à la metalcore.

As for Street Fighter 6, it’s a competitive fighting game originally released in 2023, aiming to combine style, accessibility, and mechanical depth, with semi-open-world exploration modes and a visual design that blends realism and street art in Capcom’s emblematic series. I haven’t played it, and probably won’t, but it doesn’t look like a bad job.
